Super Bowl Weekend Ideas

post featured image

Super Bowl weekend is almost here! Our Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, so the excitement is real around here! Today I’m breaking down What to Wear, What to Eat & What to Have on hand if you’re hosting.

What to Wear

Both teams this year are red so this outfit actually works no matter what team you’re cheering for. Or it works if you like to stay neutral and just join in to eat the food, watch the commercials and the half-time show; no judgement here. I always like to stay casual & comfortable, so a body suit with high waisted jeans & cute sneakers is my go-to combo. Layers are always good for game days in case you need to peel off a layer after some intense cheering.

What to Eat

If you’re going to a watch party, or staying home you’ve got to indulge in some game day food! And, it doesn’t have to be super unhealthy either. I’m listing out 4 of my favorites that are healthier options to some indulgent foods.

Chipless Nachos // When I’m craving nachos, I love making these bell pepper (chipless) nachos. You can play around with what you put on them and can pack them with flavors!

Buffalo Chicken Wraps // Slow cooker shredded chicken flavored with buffalo sauce and served on lettuce. A healthy option but still full of flavor!

Mediterranean Dip  // I’ve shared on my stories this dip that I took to a few watch parties. It’s so good and on the lighter side to snack on.

Wings & Veggies Board // A delicious & pretty food spread is my favorite! Wings are a no brainer for game day, and they taste great balanced out with lots of veggies, and of course a side of guac.

  • 3 flavors of wings + blue cheese dressing
  • radishes
  • pineapple
  • snap peas
  • carrots
  • celery
  • sweet pickles
  • mini peppers
  • crackers
  • nut mix
  • cucumbers

What to Have (or Take)

If you’re hosting or going to a house party, here are some fun things to have or take. A lot of this can also be used for football birthday parties or other game days!

49ers Balloons // Super Bowl Letter Banner // Chiefs Balloons  // Football Play Napkins // Customizable Eye Stickers // Touchdown Runner // 50 ct. Food Serving Tray // Foam Finger Chiefs49ers // Snack Cups

Whatever you do for the game, I hope you have fun…and if you don’t know who to cheer for, join me in rooting for the Chiefs!

xxBecky

  1. Hey there, love the grey wool coat. I have a comfy pair of jeans that I wear all the time. So I am going to pair it with my golden goose sneakers. My overcoat is a dark grey one so will have to do with it.
