My closet is full of pretty basic items. I live in denim, comfy t-shirts, cozy sweaters, and even sneakers. And while I love everyday style, I do enjoy sprucing things up every now and then. Whether heading on date night or out with the girls, I reach for a few items to elevate my everyday outfits. Here’s how to do that in your own wardrobe.
While I love a statement piece, these days I’m all about layering the jewelry on when I’m trying to elevate things. Lately, I’ve been reaching for these dainty gold Kendra Scott necklaces to stack on top of each other. In true Kendra Scott fashion, each piece is pretty on its own, but I think the layering adds extra drama. I’ve also been loving this beautiful Kendra Scott ring. Kendra Scott has so many pretty options to mix and match, and it’s such a great brand for elevating a basic outfit.
I’d wear this outfit with sneakers or flats during the day, but when I want to take things up a notch, I add a neutral pair of heels or wedges. I find that classic pumps usually do the trick, no matter the outfit.
Instead of my usual ponytail or messy bun, I like adding beach waves and wearing my hair down when stepping things up. Or, I’ll do beach waves and then a low bun to show off my jewelry – just depends what I’m feeling.
I love ripped jeans and the boyfriend style, but both can look pretty casual. So if I’m going out, I’ll throw on a pair of white, black or grey skinny jeans, which still feel effortless but a bit more intentional.
Then I’m ready to go!
How do you elevate an everyday outfit?
