Nothing makes me feel better about myself more than simply getting dressed. Weโre huge lovers of activewear in our house and I do spend quite a bit of time in leggings and sweatshirts (especially this year), but when I need a little pick me up, I love putting an outfit together and getting dressed. I donโt have many places to go these days, but feeling good about myself is still a high priority. So, today I thought Iโd share with you guys my easy but still very chic winter uniform. And I say uniform because, in normal times, this is a look Iโd be reaching for again and again made up of wardrobe staples from one of my favorite retailers โ Nordstrom!
The first piece of this look is the stunning coat. It doesnโt get any more classic than this double-breasted long coat. You will have this coat for years and wear it over and over again! And you absolutely cannot beat the price! I went with the grey color but the camel would also be a perfect neutral to always have hanging in your closet.
I layered the coat over a beautiful cashmere sweater. This cashmere sweater is timeless โ itโs simple, slightly fitted but not too snug and comes in more than 10 colors! This is the kind of piece you can create a whole winter capsule wardrobe around. You can wear it with jeans, chic joggers, trousers, a skirt. You could also layer it with a button-down underneath or a denim jacket on top โ the possibilities are endless! I highly recommend snagging this in at least one or two colors!
Last but not least, I opted for these Vince Camuto booties in the color โbiscuitโ. The block heel makes them very comfortable to be in for the day and Iโm in love with the minimal style. If you donโt already have a good pair of leather booties in your closet, this is a great pair to pick up. The snake print is also really fun if youโre looking for something a bit different.
