Sharing tons of great ideas to make this fall super special! These are some of my favorite traditions to do with the kids. I love that they are starting to ask things like, “When are we going to make witches brew and watched that scary movie?”. They can tell it is that time of the year- one of our families favorites!
Take an “autumn foliage” drive
Go on a nature scavenger hunt (find one here and here)
Bake pumpkin spice muffins
Burn a fall-scented candle
Make apple cider
Have a family pumpkin carving contest
Decorate the porch for fall
Watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Jump in a pile of leaves
“Boo” your neighbors with treats
Donate to a food drive
Create an at-home candy scavenger hunt
Bake a pie for a neighbor
Find a smaller, local pumpkin patch (go on a weekday!)
Watch Hocus Pocus with Witches Brew (Put apple juice in a mug, the kids added in candy of their choice, and then we added a marshmallow peep to the side & topped it with a black & white straw.)
Paint pumpkins
Go through a corn maze
Make a pot of hot soup
Go apple picking
Try a leaf rubbing craft
Roast marshmallows
Play football with family and friends (pick ones you’ve been social distancing with!)
