A Floral Romper for Spring that’s Actually Groundbreaking

post featured image

I hope everyone reading this has seen The Devil Wears Prada and picked up on the pun in my title for this post. If you haven’t, Meryl Streep plays a brutal magazine editor and when one of her staff suggests florals for spring as a new trend, she famously looks over at the woman and says, “Florals. For spring? Groundbreaking.” It’s one of my favorite scenes from the movie and always makes me laugh a bit. Especially this year because I’m here to tell you that this floral romper I’m wearing from mytheresa.com is definitely groundbreaking

The details of this romper are stunning and I’m so glad I could wear it for you guys before my bump takes over. Although there really is plenty of room for a little bump for any of you other mamas-to-be out there wondering. My favorite detail of the romper is probably the scallop trim detail along the hem and neckline. I think it accents the florals perfectly and adds that “groundbreaking” vibe to the outfit. 😉 I also have to mention the color palette. All the different shades of coral and pink make this such a pretty choice for spring and summer. Mytheresa always has such beautiful options so if you’re shopping for anything with a luxury feel, they’re definitely my go-to.

For accessories with this look, I kept things super simple. I wanted the romper to be the star of the show, so I layered some dainty gold jewelry on my wrist and neck and of course, had to wear my new Fendi. Mytheresa has the best selection of designer bags if you’re in the market for something new!

Do you think this floral romper is groundbreaking? I definitely do – it was just the thing I needed to brighten things up!
