I can’t believe it’s already that time, but back to school is almost here! This time of year always gives me a mix of emotions because I love having more time with the kids, but it’s also nice to get them back in school, in their routines and have a little more time for myself and work. Any other moms feel this way?
This year Sutton starts Kindergarten and I am so excited for her! I still can’t believe my little girl officially starts school but she is SO ready and excited! One of my favorite traditions as a kid was back to school shopping with my mom. She would let me and my sisters pick out our favorite notebooks, pencil cases and folders and I thought it was SO fun and it got me excited for the new year! I was so excited to be able to start this tradition with Sutton. I love going to Walmart for all the classroom supplies.
Not only are we grabbing whatever their classroom requires, which at their age isn’t a whole lot, but we’re picking out back to school outfits too! Walmart has seriously upped their fashion game in the last year or two and I’m absolutely here for it, especially when it comes to the kids. They outgrow clothes so fast it’s nice to find fun pieces that they like but are also very affordable.
Sutton’s outfit is giving me such a flashback to when I was a kid and I love it! These little leopard leggings (under $10!) have an elastic waist, so they’re very easy for her to put on herself and for bathroom breaks. I had to pair them with this Captain Marvel graphic tee – and speaking of graphic tees, Walmart has tons of cute options for only $5! I also picked up these adorable velcro sneakers, which give me Golden Goose vibes. So cute, right? We topped off her first-day look with this jean jacket that she’ll wear all fall long and, of course, a unicorn backpack. Because what is life without a unicorn backpack?
Grey also got his own back to school look with these joggers, which are made of organic cotton – yes, you can organic clothes at Walmart! And they were only $15 for two pairs! I picked up a few t-shirts for him too, including this dinosaur tee. Anyone else’s kids obsessed dinosaurs right now? Then he picked out the coolest Batman backpack, which is great for daycare/school to pack all his items.
Walmart is the one-stop-shop you need in your life as you plan for your kids to head back to school. You can get classroom supplies, groceries and all the clothes they’ll need for the entire school year at such good prices!
