NYFW Recap Part 1

post featured image

You guys, my short week in New York went by so quickly so I’m making sure to do a NYFW recap of all my favorite moments without photo overloading y’all. This year, Michael stayed home with the babies so my photographer, Morgan, came along with me and as much my love traveling with Michael, it was fun to have Morgan along with me, who was so passionate capturing our time there!

To see more on what I wore, you can find my previous two New York Fashion Week 2017 outfit posts HERE and HERE.

I landed on Thursday and once I checked into my hotel, I had to hurry off for the ShopBop sip and see, followed by The Tadashi Shoji Runway Show and a Sam Edelman event. Fashion week is always chaotic and sometimes stressful, but I always leave with so much inspiration for the blog.

The weather was actually amazing this year! The past few years it has always been so hot. I was even cold on some nights. It got me all excited for fall fashion! I had to get a sweater to throw on over my dress for the rewardStyle event that night.

One of my favorite presentations was the Kate Spade Show. It was held in an Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station. They had a marching band that marched out all of the the models on stage. The collection was one of my favorites. It mixed casual and dressy pieces that are totally ready to wear. Literally obsessed with every item! And the models make up was so good. It was natural, with dewy skin and rosy cheeks. I am totally going to try and recreate it.

Things also go way smoother when you have a team. As I keep growing my brand, I’ve been lucky to an amazing group of hard-working people who help me do what I do. Not pictured, but I feel necessary to give a shout out to, is my manager Lauren!

Breakfast in bed was necessary on some of the mornings. This season I was so happy to be hosted by The Quin Hotel – They have the most beautiful and spacious rooms, not to mention the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I felt so spoiled, with their amazing room service, and attention to detail. Everyone was so friendly! They even offered in-room hair and make-up! Thanks Nomi Beauty for my amazing make-up on day 4!

Even though fashion week can get hectic, I always love that it means I get to see some of my blogger friends, like Meggan from Somewhere Lately. We had matching shoes that day, go figure!

We tried to make time to play tourist in the city. It is crazy how much NYC has to do and see. I am always overwhelmed at what to do and where to go. We went to the top of the Empire State Building, it was my second time going to Top of the Rock and it is definitely worth the trip. The crazy views looking over the concrete jungle is just amazing!

One of my favorite things to do during fashion week is admiring all the amazing and diverse style. I am always so inspired!

I loved all the colorful prints and flowy silhouettes at the Leann Marshall runway show. She was the winner of Project Runway Season 5. So very talented!

Another NYFW in the books! I always come home feeling lucky to not only go but also thankful for my family and support that help make trips like this possible! Now your turn, tell me, do you like NYFW content? Want to see more?

ps-I will be posting the rest of my outfits I wore during NYFW over the next couple weeks, make sure to let me know what you think!
