Slimming Detox Smoothie- Victoria Secret Model Recipe

post featured image

Hello friends! Continuing my health and fitness series today and sharing an updated recipe of my most popular –Slimming Detox Smoothie. This is actually a Victoria Secret model recipe that I shared awhile back on the blog and have tweaked the recipe with a few different ingredients. This smoothie is loaded with vitamin C and is so filling! I also crave less junk when I have one daily.

So many amazing benefits of drinking this nutrient rich smoothie… gives you more energy, mental clarity, snack less, improves skin and your immunity!

Vitamix Blender

I make one twice a day if I am feeling extra sluggish or need a healthy pick me up! Michael and Sutton both enjoy them too!

2 servings Recipe-make one and save one for later, they keep well for one day. Just shake before drinking if it has set for awhile.
 I N G R E D I E N T S
1-very unripe banana
1-one large pear and or green apple
1 cup of spinach
1 cup of romaine lettuce or I prefer KALE
Juice of 2 lemons
1-cup of celery
Organic honey or Truvia (natural sweetener) to sweeten
1 cup of very cold water
Mint leaves (optional)
1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
Blend all ingredients together. I use the Vitamix blender, which I think give the smoothie the best texture.
Tip* I buy the large bag of Kale at Costco, since I use it so much for salads and smoothies. I take half the bag and freeze it, and use the frozen kale in my smoothies.
To keep bananas ripe, peel the ripe ones that you don’t use right away and freeze to maintain ripeness.
Enjoy!
What are your favorite go to smoothie recipes? I like to change mine up every so often!

  1. Fantastic drink, I love it!! Do you by chance know the calorie count on it? Thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. Looks delicious and thanks for the great tip on freezing kale! My go to smoothie recipe is: Trader Joe’s organic vanilla pea protein, 1 tbsp powdered pb, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1/4 avocado, handful of spinach or kale, ice and water! 🙂
