Your bedroom should be a place that you go to to find solace from the world (or your kids); a place where you can relax and reset before taking on the world again in the morning. Think of your bedroom as a refuge from the chaos and noise that family and work life can bring. Not sure where to start? Here are my top tips for making your bedroom a beautiful and relaxing oasis.
Blush Duvet Cover // Fringe Accent Pillows // Round Pillow // Faux Fur Throw // Camera // Record Player // Cardigan //
HAVE A SPOT FOR YOUR PHONE AND TABLETS AWAY FROM ARMS REACH.
Have a spot to turn off your phone and store away from bed so you are not tempted to scroll on instagram for another hour when you can be resting your mind. I need to be better about this! *If you do turn your phone on ‘do not disturb’ your alarm still will work and go off in the AM.
ADD MOOD LIGHTING
Use string lights to make your bedroom look dreamy. They look whimsical no matter where you hang them. But when you combine their loveliness with the charm that any bedroom has you get a truly dreamy look.
Or add a cinema LED box, for your night light and add a sweet message.
CLEAR OUT CLUTTER
We are creatures who accumulate, or at least we are, and sometimes it can be difficult to depart with items that we have gathered up over the years. However, clean and clear surfaces make for a clean and clear mind, so declutter the sides in your bedroom, put away all the clothes which are dumped on the chair in the corner and tidy up the pile of magazines and books beside the bed, and clear off dressers.
MAKE IT COMFORTABLE
This is an obvious one, but by making your bedroom comfortable, you automatically make it a place where you want to retreat to and chill out. A good mattress, soft sheets and a range of blankets and textures to snuggle under are all important for creating a comfortable space.I just updated my bedding with this soft blush duvet and pillows. I love this faux fur throw for added texture and coziness and these accent pillows.  Add a statement piece to your room with a beautiful piece of art or your favorite photos; you spend almost a third of your life in bed, you may as well make it somewhere you want to be!

PLAY YOUR FAVORITE TUNES
We just got this record player for our bedroom. I love having my favorite music playing in the background, plus it doubles as a piece of decor on my dresser!
What are some ways you distress and find solace in your oasis?
