Panini’s are great because you can add so many different items to them to taste good. They are so simple to make and you can load em up with different veggies, cheeses, meats and spreads. I like switching up my options with some lighter versions, while Michael my husband, likes the not so healthy versions.
This past weekend we went to the farmers market and got fresh local veggies and cheese so what better time to make a panini.
Here are the fixings we used:
Make sure to brush your bread with olive oil before placing on hot grill. Below is how I layered Michael’s. With mine I used turkey bacon, jalapeño jack cheese, hummus spread, tomatoes and avocados.
Let it grill for 4-5 minutes. Check occasionally so it doesn’t burn. Once done, remove and add your lettuce and serve! It’s that easy! A great light meal.
