How To: Slick Back Bun

I’ve gotten lots of requests for a tutorial on how I style my hair in a slick back bun. It’s a hairstyle I’ve been wearing more often lately for a quick pretty look or when we are on vacation. I think this will be a great style for summertime in the heat as it’s easy, quick and will keep you cool!

How To:

1. Use lots of styling cream to tame any frizz or flyaways. This will also help keep the style in place.
2. Use a bristle brush to smooth into a low ponytail.
3. Tie hair back into a low ponytail, preferably with nylon hair ties (they are the best!).
4. Flip hair back up and around the base of the ponytail. Wrap the hair around and secure with another nylon hair tie or fun scrunchie.
5. Pull the bun a bit to loosen and add some fullness.
6. Use a small soft bristle brush and styling wax to smooth any remaining flyaways or frizz.
7. Finish with hairspray!
