What a year, 2021 was! Definitely one of my biggest to date across the board: family, home, and business. This year was jam packed with ups, downs, fun and craziness. I always have mixed emotions on New Years Eve. I’m sad to say goodbye to the past year, but am also excited for the new year that lies ahead. Sure enough, I had those feelings again this time while we celebrated with my sisters and parents. But in that last minute, at 11:59 when we are counting down to midnight, all those feelings boil down to pure thankfulness. Thankful for this job, Cella Jane community and life it has given us.
The biggest thing to happen in 2021, the one we’ve been waiting for the longest, was moving into our dream home! We made it officially ours in June after three years of designing and building with an amazing team of people. We are still settling in, getting the space filled and decorating, but every morning I wake up and pinch myself when I realize that we live here.
Right before we moved into the house, we welcomed a furry member to the Hillyard family – Chloe! She is the sweetest, cuddliest and also craziest little pup and the kids have been totally obsessed with her since day one. She and Harrison are especially close and buddies being the younger two. Michael and I love seeing the smile on our kids faces, even though I had to do some convincing in the beginning!
In September, we celebrated Harrison turning one! I honestly still can’t believe it and have so many emotions about how fast he is growing. He is just the happiest little boy, and the older two love their brother so much! Sutton has fully embraced her role as big sister and loves helping entertain and take care of Harrison. As his big brother and role model, Greyson is showing Harrison the ropes in all things playing … and eating. We love our little guy so much and can’t even remember life without him being around.
Cella Jane Blog also had an incredible year – more than I could have ever imagined. Three personally designed clothing lines in one year! Starting with an Amazon Drop in March, Beach Riot’s first ever mommy mini swimwear line in July, and luxe everyday essentials with Splendid LA in October. I am beyond proud of every single collection and it’s all been a dream come true.
Last, but most certainly not least, I want to say thank you to all of you. I appreciate each and every one of you being here. Whether you joined the Cella Jane journey in the very beginning, are new here or are somewhere in between, I am so grateful. My greatest business success is having the opportunity to connect in some way with each of you! Whether it be through social media interactions, clothing purchases or home styling inspiration. I love this Cella Jane community, and feel so blessed to be able to call this my job.
On to 2022! I am already so excited for what this year has in store. I have a few exciting things up my sleeve and some projects I think you all will love, so stay tuned….!
