It feels so good to be slowly but surely getting used to our new routine with the newest member of the Hillyard crew! Being a mom to three littles is absolutely everything I dreamed it would be and baby Harrison couldn’t be any sweeter. And now that we’re getting into more of a regular routine, it’s time for this mama to think about a few fall basics to invest in from mytheresa and share them with you all!
One of my favorite things about living in the midwest is getting to experience all four seasons, fall in particular. It’s definitely my favorite season to dress for. There are a few items I’m always sure to invest in because I wear them on repeat and want to make sure they last. Today’s look is an example of some of those investment pieces, all of which are from my go-to for anything investment/designer – mytheresa.
First up is my chunky knit sweater. This is the ultimate sweater for fall and carries over perfectly into winter and early spring. It’s perfectly oversized, made of wool and the color can be paired with anything! Not to mention it can be dressed up with a midi skirt or down with a great pair of leggings and sneakers. This is one sweater you definitely want in your fall wardrobe. Also, how fun is this leopard sports bra I’m wearing underneath?
And speaking of sneakers, another must-have investment is a pair of Golden Goose sneakers. You guys know by now how I feel about Golden Goose, and if you don’t, yes, they’re 100% worth it! The quality, comfort and style boxes are all checked with these and you simply cannot go wrong. Wear them with denim, with a cute midi or maxi dress – there are endless combinations for all seasons with these sneakers!
The next part of my look that I want to give special attention to is this Gucci belt bag. I’ve always appreciated a belt bag, but love it now more than ever thanks to it being a great hands-free option. The last thing I want to do is have to worry about carrying a big purse in addition to a diaper bag and this belt- bag carries all my essentials without taking away one of my hands. It’s just big enough for my phone, wallet, lip balm and keys. And in case you think it’s just a style piece, it really does work as a belt. I love wearing it over coats to cinch my waist a bit and to keep my essentials within easy reach!
Lastly, remember how I said the knit sweater goes perfectly with leggings? I’m currently obsessed with this pair and highly recommend them if you need a quality pair to add to your fall wardrobe. They’re not only comfortable but really sculpt your body and help hold everything in – something I very much appreciate these days!
