It’s that time of year again where almost everything I’m shopping for needs to be able to work for both spring and winter temperatures. I’m talking layering pieces, lighter sweaters, midi skirts and dresses, denim jackets – all the essentials! Luckily, Walmart Fashion has tons of these items and helped me check a few off my list as I prep my transition wardrobe. If you’ve never shopped Walmart Fashion before, I highly recommend it for stylish yet budget-friendly options. I’ve partnered with them several times to showcase that you don’t have to have a huge budget to find chic pieces.
So, today, I put together such a cute winter to spring transition look for you guys that I’m absolutely in love with. It also has a monochromatic vibe to it, which is always very on trend if you ask me. My whole look is from Walmart and of course, I’m linking everything plus lots of other cute finds I’m currently shopping and pieces I think would work well for all of you from Walmart!
I love a good sweater skirt and Walmart Fashion’s brand Time and Tru makes such a good midi length one! It has just the right amount of stretch and can be worn SO many different ways! For this look, I styled it with this ottoman top, but you could easily wear it with a graphic tee and jean jacket or a dressier blouse for work or with a cami and blazer – the possibilities really are limitless! And for only $25 (it’s on sale for just $8 right now!!!), you could pick it up in a few colors and get even more wear out of the style.
Another way to wear this skirt is to pair with a graphic tee and the temps get warmer! Tie the tunic around your waist and you are set!
What do you think of this transitional look? The length of the skirt keeps me more covered, but the material isn’t super heavy for when temperatures rise in the afternoon, which is exactly what I try and go for this time of year.

A big thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post!
