Game Day Party Spread

post featured image

It’s football season! Whether you closely follow or not, you are probably around the football talk and most likely lose some TV time because there is a game on… all the time! I enjoy game days and the excuse to get together with friends to indulge in some tailgating foods. Last weekend we had friends over for the Chief’s game and the weather was perfect to watch it outside on our back patio. The adults chatted & watched the game, the kids played in the yard and we all enjoyed the food.

For food we did a wing inspired board and chips & guac. It was savory & sweet, yet plenty of veggies to balance out the heavier foods.

The food board included:

  • 3 flavors of wings + blue cheese dressing
  • radishes
  • pineapple
  • snap peas
  • carrots
  • celery
  • sweet pickles
  • mini peppers
  • crackers
  • nut mix
  • cucumbers

Walmart was our one stop shop to get everything we needed for our game day gathering, from drinks & snacks to serve ware, kitchen appliances & home entertainment. It just took 1 trip to Walmart and we were not only set, but we also know that we saved by shopping there.

The acrylic tray, chips & dip bowl and beverage tub are backyard hosting essentials the quality & price of them from Walmart is hard to beat. I also used a kraft paper roll to serve as a casual table runner, which was game day appropriate.

Getting ready for this game day party was so simple in large part to being able to get everything I needed at 1 store. And even better, I did the ordering online and then Walmart store pick up for both the items & groceries, such a great option! I hope we are able to enjoy many more games on the patio before the cold weather comes!

A big thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post!
