I donโt know about you, but Iโm not quite ready for summer to end. Iโve enjoyed having the kids home more and the slower routine, especially in the mornings, but itโs officially time for back-to-school and fall shopping. In the past, Iโve made the mistake of buying both kids fancier outfits that honestly, they just donโt wear much of. Sutton likes getting dressed up occasionally, but for the most part, both of my kids like comfy stuff. I guess they take after my love for athleisure ๐
So when back-to-school shopping this year, I kept most of our picks really casual. For Sutton, who is starting Kindergarten(!), we got her a few pairs of sneakers like this Adidas pair. I know sheโll be comfortable and theyโre still cute with the iridescent stripes. She also wanted this floral hoodie which I thought was fun. This will be great as the weather starts changing in KC, too.
As for Grey, heโs obviously not in school yet but we picked him up a few new items for daycare. Like his sister, the kid is all about casual comfort. He lives in joggers like these which are perfect for boys and girls. They definitely stand up for all the playing and running around they do when theyโre this young. And how fun are these colorful Nike sneakers that Grey has been wearing non-stop? I love the throwback feel that remind me of my own childhood. Theyโre easy for kids to pull on and off which Iโm always looking for.
We grabbed all of these casual comfort picks where we do a lot of the kidโs shopping, Bloomingdaleโs. They have the best mix of budget-friendly and stylish clothes โ whether you want casual or dressier. They also have other back-to-school essentials like backpacks so itโs a great one-stop-shop this time of year. Iโll share some other things I grabbed for the kids below.
When do your kids go back to school?
