Maybe I’m a little nuts to be going outside in a slip dress at this time of year… But it’s all in the name of fashion right? These photos were actually taken a few weeks earlier (although I was still cold, I admit). Anyway, wearing a slip dress without looking like you’re ready for bed can be a bit difficult. Here are my tips for what to wear with a silk slip dress…
The second I saw this J.o.a blush pink silk dress at Nordstrom, I knew I had to have it.
This Free People scarf also from Nordstrom is a favorite of mine, I have it in tan and just ordered in the graphite. This scarf is under $50 and the coziest one I own.
Adidas super stars are my go to.

-Add a knit–
An oversized knit adds texture and also keeps you warm (very key).
-Pair it with something casual (my motto always) –
I like to juxtapose the slinkiness of a slip dress with a casual piece, like these sneakers. It makes it seem more effortless and less like a nightgown.
-Add an accessory–
For date night add statement earrings, for drinks with your gals, add a cozy scarf and for bag hair days add a wool hat.
xx
A big thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
