Can’t believe my baby girl is two years old!! The second year flew by so fast! I love getting to watch her grow up and see her personality emerge. She expresses her emotions so well. When she is happy, she is giggling, smiling, and loves to try and make people laugh. When she is mad, she will tell you! And when she is sad, which isn’t often, she just wants to hold her mommy. She has a ton of energy and loves to go and go. She will repeat almost any word you ask her and she remembers them! The other day we saw a hot air balloon and I told her that people were in it. A week later we saw another and she said “balloon and people in it”. She’s so smart, and friends and family tell me that every time they see her. She really is something special. I always tell her she is going to move mountains some day. I could go on and on about all the wonderful things I love about her. Not enough space here!
For her birthday morning (which was on Thursday) we had pink steamers hanging from her door so she could wake up to something fun and special. That day she had to go to daycare but we picked her up early that afternoon and brought her home to open gifts. We took her out for dinner and then came back home to have some cake. We had a little mini 4″ cake made and she loved it!
That following weekend we had family and friends over for a small party. I didn’t want to plan anything too big. I ordered another mini cake for Sutton and large one for guests. I made a couple salads and we ordered in pizza. Sutton LOVED having everyone over, especially when we all sung Happy Birthday. She kept singing it to herself after she blew out her candles. She loved opening all her gifts and would get so excited for each one. It was such a special weekend!
