One of my favorite “go to” easy hairstyles is the fishtail braid. I have longer hair, so to blow dry, curl and style it takes me a long time. With the fishtail, my hair can be somewhat damp and I don’t have to use any hot tools on my hair, which is a good thing (not as damaging on the hair.) My great friend, Kirby, who happens to be a hair stylist, taught me a while back how to do a fishtail braid. He actually a fishtail tutorial online which shows you how to achieve the look here. I didn’t know the fishtail braid was so easy! How easy? Easier then the regular braid! It looks way more complicated then it is. 

Another tip, make it messy, let pieces that aren’t long enough to fit in the braid fall out and pull some hair out of the braid to give it some texture. I also like to use a small clear rubber band at the end.  Next time I do another fishtail braid I will post a better picture. I do the braid all the time so you won’t have to wait long.
