So excited to share a peek into our new home and some of the decor updates I have been doing. It’s been a slow process to say the least….we have been so busy, but mostly because I am so indecisive 😉
I started in our bedroom and office. I thought those would be easiest to do and I am in them so much, it made sense to start here. For our bedroom, I wanted to update our dressers to match our bedding. Our old dressers were dark wood and I wanted something mirrored or grey. I love how this mirrored two-drawer chest worked in the room. We have a lot of gold accents around the house so I wanted to tie that in. I also added a new gold mirror above the bed that matches the gold light fixture. The bench is something I use all the time to pile my clothes on 😉 and it’s on major sale!
The mirror in our office was a piece I originally was thinking would go in our bedroom over the headboard, but when it arrived it was HUGE. I am so bad about details and measuring. My husband just had to laugh at me. We ended up putting it in our office and it looks like it was made for the space, so perfect! Our whole house’ woodwork is white but the office is the only room that has dark wood and finishes, which I love, so I wanted to play around with colors in there. I went out my of norm and got these teal wingback chairs. We have built-in cabinets right behind the desk that I am still adding some accessories to. Any suggestions?
Stay tuned for more home updates!
