Alright my loves. The time is quickly approaching…the glorious time of cooler temps, crisp air, fall decorations and FALL FASHION!! I swear, all of my new fall pieces have been staring at me when I walk into my closet…begging to be worn 😉  I have so many looks I am excited to share with you this fall and I couldn’t wait any longer. Today we must discuss denim. This is the cornerstone of any fall wardrobe and I want to show you some of my favorite ways to style denim. The best way for me to go about showing you all of these looks, is to go through a week full of denim.
Monday I am out running errands. After relaxing all weekend, we need gas, groceries and other odds and ends. I am focusing on comfort for running around town. Love throwing on some boyfriend jeans with an easy white t-shirt. The blush bucket bag adds some cute detail and color.
Tuesdays I may get a sitter for Sutton and schedule some lunch meetings. Don’t tell anyone, but wearing the same thing from Monday. Seriously. Throwing on a cute jacket and a pair of heels instantly dresses the outfit up! And the boyfriends are so comfy, I really could wear them every day.
Wednesday I am sporting some cute distressed skinny jeans. Sutton and I go to a music class, and I need to be able to sit down and move around easily. These are a cuter alternative to my active wear 🙂 Sporting an oversized t-shirt and my fringed sandals to complete the casual, but pulled together look.
Thursday I want to pair my favorite button up shirt with my distressed skinnies. Adding the tan sandals and bag add a nice pop of color and give the look a little more of a classic feel while the distressed jeans keep the look more casual.
Friday we are heading out on a date night, so I want to dress it up a little. I love a good pair of black jeans (get if you don’t have!) and will pair a nicer shirt with them to keep the look sleek.
Saturday we may hit up the farmers market. Wearing my black jeans from the night before and pairing with a simple striped t-shirt. Love just throwing on flats to stay comfy and cute.
Sunday I am trying out the denim on denim look. I was a little intimidated by this look at first, but I love how it turned out. The different shades of denim keep it from looking too overwhelming. Adding my fav booties and cute hat to complete the look!
Now, I do not have the budget to buy a bunch of different denims. Especially when some of the styles are newer trends, and not knowing if they are a style that is going to stick around or one I will like, I am not willing to dish out a lot for a pair of jeans. Enter Target. Believe it or not, each of the above jeans are from Target. You are welcome. Target has really stepped up their denim game and offers a lot of different trends. In addition to covering my favorite denim styles (distressed, boyfriend and black), they also offer a lot of different fits. I was surprised to see different weights, stretches and length. If you haven’t updated your denim in a couple years, go scope out a pair or two at Target. Notice how I got so many different, cute looks out of these 3 basic pairs of jeans. Love it!
I can’t wait for these cooler temps to see how you all start styling your denim!

  1. I'm actually really impressed to see that many of the tops are from Target as well! I might have to snatch up that pink anorak too; does it fit true to size?

    Beautiful and effortless as always!
