Braided Crown Hair Tutorial

post featured image
Sharing a hair tutorial today that works great with short or long hair. The braided crown consists of two braids wrapped around the crown of your head. It’s super easy and super cute!

Start by taking a section of your hair and separate into three pieces. I also like to pull down pieces in the front so I have softness around my face.  (You can have your part in the middle or side or wherever you prefer.)

Start to braid the section. Start loosely at the top, working in the direction that you want the braid to go. (So braid toward the back.) Secure with an elastic.

Do this on the other side.

Next, wrap the first braid around the back of your head so that the braid sits right where a crown would fit. Pin in place with bobby pins, making sure to tuck in the tail. If your braid is quite long (which mine was) you can fold the tail in half or tuck it behind the braid. Repeat on the other side.

If you want the crown of braids bigger, pull the braid apart for a thicker braid.

There you have it. Very simple, yet super cute style. I have been wearing this look a lot lately. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions! I shared a couple other versions on instagram you can find here
